Attend an information session They are conducted every other Monday at 9:00 AM at the PPL Learning Center.(No appointment required. Must have HS Diploma or GED – call the front desk at 612-455-5300 to check which Mondays). Take a three-part test: Typing, Ten Key and Basic Computer Skills (MS Word). This test is offered every Wednesday from 10am to 11am and the 2nd/4th Friday of every month from 9am to noon. Interview with TTW staff. Interviews assess attitude, life goals, availability, and past work experiences.
You must sign up in advance to the take a TABE test. The test is given every Wednesday promptly at 9 am. Areas of testing include reading, vocabulary, language, spelling, and math. To be offered a Trainee position in healthcare you must provide proof of or obtain up-to-date immunizations of the following before training: Hepatitis B, MMR, Mantoux within past 90 days and history of Chicken Pox.
