Banking Class for Bilingual Spanish Speakers and Non-Spanish Speakers

This three-week class prepares you for entry-level banking positions.

While there is no internship with this program, a first interview with an employer is guaranteed upon successful completion of the class.

Classroom time:

Topics covered: 

Soft skills, computer training, effective resume, internet job search, answers for a tough job interview, effective workplace communication, professionalism, diversity in the workplace.

Length: 
Monday - Friday, 9am -3pm
Stipend: 
Monetary award upon successful completion of program.

How to apply: 

Attend an information session. They are conducted every Monday at 9:00am at the PPL Learning Center. (No Appointment Required. Must have HS Diploma or GED.)
Complete an adult basic skills assessment offered right after the information session from 10:00am to 1:00pm.
Interview with Train to Work staff. Interviews assess attitude, life goals, availability, and past work experiences.
Pass criminal background check, drug screen, reference checks, career specific assessments such as a typing and ten-key test.
