The need for PPL services has increased as a result of decreased state funding to many of the "safety net" programs that have assisted those most in need in our community.   PPL helps to fill the void left by the decrease or elimination of state funded services. Our present economic climate presents even more challenges for the at risk populations we serve.

PPL programs bridge the gap between valuable employees and employers, provide stable, affordable housing, revitalize troubled corners in our inner cities, open the opportunity for quality education, and improve the overall quality of life for thousands of families and individuals.   PPL's programs help inner-city neighborhoods and residents build a sound base from which to contribute to the healthy growth of the entire metropolitan area as a whole.

PPL is working hard to broaden the base of community support, continuing to prospect for further foundation, corporation, and individual support to keep our general operations sound and our programs responsive to the ever-changing needs of our constituency.   As we continue to grow in size and spirit, it is clear that PPL's multidimensional approach to helping people achieve self-sufficiency enables our programs and participants to succeed in building brighter futures.
