Center for Working Families

The Center for Working Families provides services designed for low-income families to increase their earnings and income, reduce their financial transaction costs, and generate new wealth for themselves and their communities through personalized goal plans. Members join through referrals from a partner agency.

As lead agency, PPL has partnered with City County Federal Credit union, Emerge, Hope Community, Payne-Lake Community Partners (NEXUS), and LISC to bring this new initiative to Minneapolis, which is one of fourteen national sites. These Centers represent a new framework for neighborhood service delivery developed by the Annie E. Casey Foundation.
