Emergency Repair Program
PPL's
Emergency Repair Program serves disadvantaged, low-income homeowners.
Emergency Repair is a longstanding
program that assists people with essential repairs that would otherwise
threaten their homeownership. PPL arranges for the house repairs and pays
75% of the costs up to $500.
ER is solely funded through
the generosity of the Twin Cities' religious community.

broken door or leaking pipes can be an immediate threat to the stability
and comfort of a homeowner. When ignored, small problems can also
escalate into more costly repairs and create a major hardship for
a household.
Common repairs include:
faulty wiring, malfunctioning heating systems, leaking roofs, clogged
drains, and broken doors and windows. |

Repair Program helps homeowners maintain safety and stability through
rough times.

we serve
PPL Emergency Repair Program
will pay 75% of repairs for eligible clients, up to $500.

the challenge of combined barriers.
- 41% were senior citizens
- 47% served were single parents
- 47% had a disability.
Who
qualifies for the Emergency Repair Program?
- Residents whose home is in need of a repair that affects their
safety or health.
- Single-family home owners residing in the house, in St. Paul
or Minneapolis
- Households where the income is at or below 30% of the Area Median
Income ( AMI ).*
- Single parents, disabled adults, senior citizens.
- Ability to pay 25% of the cost of the needed repair at the time
of repair
