Redeemer Center for Life owned 1909/1913 4th Avenue and purchased 1901 and 1905 4th Avenue from the City of Minneapolis. These were vacant lots in an area of north Minneapolis where in-fill would help stabilize the neighborhood. The plan was to build two “visitable” twinhomes, for sale to buyers at 60% – 80% of median income.
PPL worked with Redeemer Center for Life and the Harrison Neighborhood to build one twinhome. It was designed to appeal to current area residents who wish to move into lower-maintenance, new housing, such as first time home buyers, seniors with mobility concerns, or individuals with disabilities; both units include accessibility elements such as zero-clearance thresholds and a bedroom and full, accessible bath on first floor.
