Access Lab: The Community Access
Lab is a part of the PPL Learning Center. |
Work in our computer lab independently or receive one-on-one assistance. At our lab you can:
- Job search, write resumes, fill out online applications, e-mail employers
- Prepare for the GED using self-paced software with reading, writing and math lessons and take advantage of PPL's GED test scholarship
- Practice typing and test computer skills using clerical assessment software
- Use the computer to improve your accent and English pronunciation to get a job
- Find community resources for job seeking, housing, credit/debt, childcare, etc
- Utilize accessibility tools and software such as screen magnifiers or large print keyboards
You can also explore opportunities to attend college and advance your goals
- Meet with a Minneapolis Community & Technical College (MCTC) admissions staff to learn about programs and classes
- Apply for colleges, technical schools and financial aid
