A popular Latino marketplace with 44 businesses, Mercado Central sits on a Minneapolis corner that, 10 years ago, was overrun with drug dealing and prostitution.

Establishing the cooperative proved to be a key move in the East Lake Street renewal, and it has since been a successful business incubator for many hard working people. It took the effort of numerous faith-based and community organizations, and as a building owner and developer, PPL, is proud to have been a part of this transformative project.
