“The Jobless Pandemic: Prescription for a Cure” was a forum that took place on November 12th, 2009, intended for policy makers and citizens invested in seeing Minnesota identify and deploy proven strategies for job creation.
The keynote address was given by Dr. Timothy Bartik, senior labor economist with the Upjohn Institute. He has written about the Minnesota Emergency Economic Development program that used wage subsidies to create jobs and to provide a lifeline to small and emerging employers.
Jerome Paquin, president of Keystone Development Company, moderated a panel discussion featuring the perspective of Minnesota employers, workforce specialists and workers.
