The US Census is hiring workers to go door-to-door to make sure everyone gets counted in the 2010 Census. They are currently hiring workers and offering testing sessions for positions at the PPL Learning Center.
Census Taker’s will:
- Explain the purpose of the census
- Conduct interviews with respondents
- Record responses on paper
- Meet with crew leader every day to turn in in completed work and payroll forms
- Census takers usually with work in their own neighborhoods and work varied hours not to exceed 40 hrs/week
- Attend 4 days of paid training in Feb and door-to-door work in March
Steps to apply:
- Call 1-866-861-2010 to sign up for a testing site and time (individuals can request PPL or other local locations)
- Testing session– complete paper application, pass criminal background check, and take reading and math test)

- Wed 1/13 at 1:30pm
- Wed 1/20 at 10am
- Wed 1/20 at 1:30pm
- Fri 1/22 at 10am
- Fri 1/22 at 1:30pm
- Thurs 1/28 at 10am
- Thurs 1/28 at 1:30pm
