About Partnership Academy

Partnership Academy is in its the fifth year of operation as a K-6 Minnesota charter school. The school’s mission is to empower teachers, students, families, and our broader community as partners in creating an exceptional school. Its vision is to provide a world-class education for every student

The school prides itself in its dedication to students and their families. The mission is met through a strong focus on developing meaningful partnerships with families and the community – as witnessed through the high level of volunteer participation from community and family volunteers.

In 2007, 261 students were enrolled; 95 percent qualified for free or reduced lunch and nearly three quarters identified as Limited English Proficient; 87 percent were Latino children.

  • The school employs a traditional education delivery model with each student assigned to a grade. The classroom teachers teach core content areas of reading, mathematics, science, and social studies with some flexible grouping occurring in reading.
  • Specialists teach art, music, physical education, media/technology, and English language instruction.
  • Typically, classes have 20 to 22 students per room; the small class sizes assists in more individualized instruction and in establishing a connection to each family.
