Connections to Work (CTW)

CTW supports inner-city adults as they move from public assistance to jobs by providing comprehensive skill assessment, developing employment plans and job goals, job placement and retention, as well as additional support services.

CTW accomplishes this through a community-based network of employment, training and support services, which draw on the uniquely integrated services of PPL to address the significant challenges surrounding implementation of the changes in welfare.

The program was launched in 1998 in collaboration with Goodwill/Easter Seals and Whittier Works, CTW, opened its office doors on the corner of Franklin and Chicago Avenues in the heart of Minneapolis' Phillips Neighborhood.

Since its inception, CTW has been responsible for helping over 660 public assistance recipients obtain employment and/or the training necessary to become employable and move off public assistance.
