Lunch Buddy
Make a difference in a child’s life by eating lunch and enjoying recess with a student at the K-6 Partnership Academy Charter School. Serve as a positive role model and support a child’s success in school and life.
Community Partners Program Tutor/Mentor:
Support academic growth and intellectual curiosity but tutoring/mentoring 1-2 youth at Partnership Academy’s after-school literacy program. Tutors provide homework help, support student progress in core subjects and participate in fun enrichment activities with their mentee.
PPL Scholars & Leaders Tutor/Mentor:
Provide homework help, support progress in core academic subjects, explore new subjects and participate in fun enrichment activities. Staff and licensed teachers are available on-site to support tutors.
Alternative High School Library Assistant: Organize the library at MERC Alternative High School at the Bethlehem Community Center (2539 Pleasant Ave. S, Mpls.). SEED Camp Volunteers:
SEED Camp is an 8-week summer enrichment program for youth grades 2-5 offering learning and enrichment activities that promote growth and development towards competence and confidence. Volunteers work with small groups of children on art & science projects, reading, recreational activities and games (Mon.-Wed.), or supervise field trips (Thursdays).

Commitment: 1 or more sessions/wk. (9 am-12 or 12-3 pm, M-W), or Thursdays (9 am-3 pm)

City Explorers Volunteers:
City Explorers is a literacy-building summer program with young residents of PPL housing (1st-5th grades). The program includes learning enrichment activities, recreation and field trips. Volunteers are needed to assist with all program activities.
PPL Service Center, 1035 E. Franklin Ave., Mpls.
9:30-3:30 pm, Monday-Thursday, mid-June through mid-August
Volunteer time commitment negotiable.

Community Garden/Literacy Volunteers:
Patient, fun, and caring volunteers needed to assist with weekly community garden sessions with young residents of PPL housing. Each weekly session includes a literacy-based enrichment activity. Staff will be available on-site to supply materials and support volunteers. No gardening experience necessary!
Wednesdays, 5:30-7 pm (May-August): Summit-University neighborhood, St. Paul OR
