Programs for Success in School and Success in Life

PPL Youth programs are free, year-round, academic and enrichment programs offered to elementary and middle school students living in PPL housing and in connection to PPL facilities. Most meet after school and, in the summertime, during the day.

SCHOOL-YEAR PROGRAMS
Homework ‘n’ Hoops: homework help and recreation time
PPL Scholars: Activities for elementary school-aged kids
PPL Leaders: Activities for young teens
College House: one-to-one mentoring with college students
Lunch and Reading Buddies at partnership Academy

SUMMER DAY CAMPS
SEED CAMP and City Explorers – planned daily activities, field trips, hands-on academic learning, and projects that open to them the world of civic

Summertime Events Bring Residents & Neighbors Together

PPL residents in eight metro area neighborhoods hosted National Night Out parties this summer. “We had a great turnout and it inspired a lot of residents to ask if they can help out at future events” said Sarah Allen, PPL staff member in New Hope, who helped the residents organize. Other National Night Out events were held in St. Paul, Minneapolis, Robbinsdale, and St. Louis Park. MORE >>

Puppets Help Build Community
