PPL Wins Nonprofit Excellence Award!
Our staff and volunteers work hard every day to build the hope, assets, and self-reliance of low-income families and individuals in our community. Our residents and participants work just as hard building themselves up and uplifting one another. Thanks so much to MN Council of Nonprofits and Propel Nonprofits for recognizing the hard work of our staff, volunteers, and participants! We are so grateful for the opportunity to celebrate and commemorate the work we are fortunate to do.
For PPL, excellence means listening. Listening is what allows us to meet people where they’re at, and provide the combination of support and learning they need to attain stable housing and a jobs. “Listening and engaging folks is a skill set. It’s something our staff have developed over time, and it’s something that we really nurture,” said Paul Williams, PPL President & CEO. “Our belief is that to stabilize a family and an individual, housing and a job are key…Just about everybody has a desire to work, and get on a career path.”
A big thank you to our community of supporters that allow us to provide participants with the assets they need to create a strong foundation and better future for themselves.
We are also honored to be in the company of the other nonprofit and philanthropic organizations who received awards including Commonweal Theatre Company, Hopewell Music Cooperative-North, MAS-Minnesota – Muslim American Society of Minnesota, and Mary’s Pence.
