Minneapolis, Minn. – Project for Pride in Living (PPL) today announced Pauleen Le has joined its development and external affairs team as the new director of communications and marketing. Le joins PPL with nearly 15 years of experience in news media, including her most recent role as an anchor and reporter at WCCO-TV. In her new role, Le will lead PPL’s strategic communications and marketing initiatives, identifying opportunities to tell PPL’s many stories while communicating the organization’s mission: To build the hope, assets, and self-reliance of individuals and families through transformative affordable housing and career readiness services.
“Growing up as the daughter of Vietnamese refugees, I understand the struggles and triumphs of people seeking stability and a better life. I know firsthand the fundamental importance of safe housing, the challenges of finding meaningful work, and the critical role community support plays,” said Le. “PPL is a regional leader in providing transformative affordable housing and career readiness services. I am incredibly excited to join its team and hit the ground running on telling the PPL story and actively advocating for the life-changing work it accomplishes in communities across the Twin Cities.”
“Pauleen is a dynamic communicator with a strong marketing mindset and deep commitment to PPL’s mission and the many diverse communities we serve,” said Lauren Beecham Henry, PPL’s chief philanthropy and external affairs officer. “Her inherent ability to identify and tell meaningful, person-centered stories with clear cultural sensitivity will serve PPL well, elevating our communications and storytelling efforts. We are absolutely thrilled to welcome her to the team.”
An Emmy-award winning journalist, Le brings a wealth of expertise in marketing and communications to PPL. She began her career as a general assignment reporter in La Crosse, Wisconsin, making stops in Green Bay and Fort Wayne, Indiana along the way to becoming the morning anchor in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Most recently, Le served as an anchor and reporter at WCCO-TV, returning to the organization she originally started at as an intern.
Le is a board member of ThreeSixty Journalism, a local non-profit program that trains and supports high school students of color in the field of journalism.
