Project for Pride in Living Welcomes New Volunteer Programs Manager to Strengthen Community Engagement and Advance Mission
Minneapolis, Minn. — Project for Pride in Living (PPL), a leading nonprofit dedicated to affordable housing and career readiness, is proud to announce the hiring of Latisha Moening as its new Volunteer Programs Manager.
Moening brings a dynamic background in volunteer management, community outreach, and relationship building. Most recently, she served as Director of Volunteers and Outreach at Loaves and Fishes, where she led efforts to expand volunteerism within the organization while the team worked to create access to free, healthy meals for Minnesotans in underserved communities. Her work strengthened volunteer networks and deepened engagement across the Twin Cities through strategic outreach, speaking engagements, and community events.
Her experience also includes serving as an Activities Assistant at Lakeville’s senior living facility Fountains of Hosanna. She’s also worked in financial services with Prepare + Prosper building strong community partnerships and leveraged digital platforms to connect with volunteers and stakeholders.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Latisha to our team,” said Lauren Beecham Henry, PPL’s Chief Philanthropy & External Affairs Officer. “Her passion for equity and her ability to create inclusive, meaningful volunteer experiences will be key as we continue to grow our impact.”
In her new role, Moening will lead PPL’s volunteer strategy and engagement efforts, connecting individuals and groups with opportunities to support housing stability and career pathways for families across the region.
“I’m honored to join Project for Pride in Living and continue working alongside communities to create lasting change,” said Moening. “Volunteers are the heart of this work, and I’m excited to help build programs that are inclusive, empowering, and rooted in equity.”
Moening currently serves as a board member for the local nonprofit, The Drawer, and as Immediate Past President on the board of her local Lions Club chapter, where she also chairs several committees. Her dedication has earned her both the Lion of the Year Award and the prestigious Helen Keller Award—recognitions that speak to her unwavering commitment to community leadership and service.
