Future Programs

Join the Access Program to take dozens of free workshops and trainings to advance your resume and gain skills in any area of career readiness. You will work one on one with an Access coach who will help you find the trainings you need and help guide you with how to use the skills going forward. Computer and Interpersonal trainings that are recorded and live via Zoom so no matter what your schedule you can take classes whenever you are able.
The Aon Apprenticeship Program is a two year-long program that prepares program participants for entry-level employment at Aon while earning an Associate degree. This program is a collaboration between Aon, Normandale Community College, and Project for Pride in Living and focuses on assisting individuals who want to enhance their business background. They will engage in coursework at Normandale Community College to earn an Associate of Science (AAS) Marketing and Management with Human Resource Management Certificate.
The Building Operations Technician is a 10-month training program in which participants engage with curriculum and job shadow experience that will support them in becoming Maintenance Technicians in both residential and commercial sector.
Train to become a community advocate, empowering underserved populations with direct health services.
Build computer and professional skills to prepare for Human Services positions. These positions all involve helping community members navigate county benefits. Participants will have opportunities to connect with and learn about positions with Hennepin, Ramsey, or Dakota County.
Interested in computers, technology and professional skills! Sign-up for the IT Support Specialist Pathway hosted by Minneapolis Community and Technical College (MCTC), in this training you will receive an NRF Customer Service and Sales, Google IT Support Specialist Certificate and a Stipend totaling $2,250 over the course of 7 months. This Pathway will position you to apply for the following roles IT Specialist, Support Specialist, IT Helpdesk Support, or Helpdesk Technician​. In order to apply for this Pathways you must be a Hennepin County Resident.

Join the trades! Take classes at Minneapolis College while working as an Apprentice at Hennepin Energy Recovery Center (HERC). This opportunity provides experience in OSHA certification, heavy machinery training, and other great technical skills!
PPL's seven-week Office Specialist Pathway with Hennepin County will prepare you for this next step in your clerical career! Polish your resume, interviewing, and clerical skills in a small classroom setting while learning PPL's unique curriculum customized to fit the requirements for Hennepin County careers. Starting pay at Hennepin County is $21.50 and comes with benefits and access to mid level to upper level positions.
Want to start your career in education? Become a teacher's assistant through this training at PPL in partnership with Normandale College. You will prepare to work with students of all ages and abilities.

Learn how to draw blood and work in the medical field as a Phlebotomist. MN Health Fairview and Allina are excited to partner and provide this fantastic start to the medical field. No work experience is needed.
